Challenges Faced During The Large Scale Production

Swiggy’s bulk corporate gift hamper order was one of the biggest corporate orders for The Zappy Box. During the entire process, from ideation to design, from curation to packaging and then delivering, we faced some challenges, but we did not let them bother our client’s satisfaction. 

These challenges couldn't dull the Zappy spirit, and we consciously strategised and improvised to deal with them. Our team envisaged the principles of time management, finding alternatives, division of labour, teamwork and cooperation. The steps we took also reflected our brand values and principles.

• Problem:- We had a very limited time to complete this bulk order of luxury corporate gifts. We had to complete everything flawlessly in-house. 

Strategy:- We picked up the pace, devoting specific time to everything. Our team got the designing done in 2 days and their approval, sampling and final production took another 5-6 days. Once we had the elements handy, the team began the Swag Kit curation. 

• Problem:- Unfortunately, our shrinking machine broke down midway. This machine is important to ensure safe packaging.

Strategy:- We got the machine fixed and our operations team worked in three shifts to complete the bulk corporate gifts order. They all worked in sync to maximise the results. 

• Problem:- The hamper included a range of over 15 elements each of which was to be individually assembled and curated. They were to be packed consistently, ensuring that every piece looked the same while conveying the brand identity. 

Strategy:- We hired extra daily wage women workers to provide them seasonal employment and financial independence. They in turn, helped us in achieving our target. But before they could begin, we had to train them. They were then organised into groups and given daily targets while we also monitored them at the end of the day.

• Problem:- We received this order during peak Diwali season and thus our delivery partners were already overwhelmed with deliveries. We had to find a way to make sure that our packages reached on time. 

Strategy:- We sent out the packages in batches every 2-3 days. We also assigned the delivery duty to multiple delivery partners according to different locations.
